Our current whole school focus at Our Lady of the Cape Primary School is Mathematics.  Due to this I have attended quality Professional Development sessions from the CEWA Numeracy Consultant Ben Saulsman, the most recent being on the 25th of September 2020.  He has specifically focused the PD on improving the structure of our Maths Blocks and how we can cater for differentiation within it.  I have learned so many strategies that I have been able to implement both in a Year 5 and Pre Primary Setting.

I am a member of the Primary Maths on Teams which allows for valuable conversations and ideas to be shared between other teachers to promote best practice.

I have previously attended quality Professional Development sessions with Paul Swan, who is a huge advocate for play and hands on learning in the Maths Learning area.  I utilise many of his activity ideas in my programming.
